Privacy Policy

The short version

We never touch your money. We cannot see your bank account.
We never sell your data. We show no ads and use no trackers.
If you make an account, we keep some personal data, like your email and your budget. This page lists all of it.
You can ask us to delete your account and your data at any time.

We keep these things in our database, so the app works on any phone you use:

Your email address. If you log in with Google, we also get the name and email on your Google account.
Your password. It is scrambled before we keep it, so nobody can read it.
Your answers to the setup questions. For example: your birth date, gender, home country, job, pay and goals.
Your budget numbers, and any pay you write down on your budget page.
Your chats with Echo, our AI helper.

We never ask for your bank card, bank PIN, passport or ID number. If someone asks for these and says they are us, it is a scam.

Some things are saved in your phone's web browser:

The language you picked.
A key that keeps you logged in.
A copy of your answers and budget, so pages open fast. We delete this copy when you log out.
Your savings goal from the Savings goal page. It stays on your phone. We never see it.

Anyone who uses this phone may see these things. On a shared phone, always log out.

We use a few other companies to run the app. We send them only what they need:

Supabase runs our database and our log in. Only your own account can see your saved data.
Google Gemini writes Echo's answers and the short money note on your budget page. We send it your message and a short summary, like your first name, home country, job, pay, budget totals and goals. We do not send your email, birth date or gender. Google follows its own rules for this data.
If you log in with Google, Google knows that you use our app.
Our web host and a code library service send the app to your phone. Like every website, they see basic facts, such as your internet (IP) address.
When you sign up or reset your password, we send you an email through our email service.

Change your answers at any time. Tap your name at the top of the page.
Change your email in Settings.
Delete a chat with Echo at any time.
You can use the calculator on our home page and the Savings goal page with no account. They save nothing on our servers.
To delete your account and all your saved data, email us. For now, a person does this by hand.

We keep your data while you have an account. When we delete your account, we delete your saved data too. Copies may stay in backups for a short time.
